I want to transform my xp to vista look! please read inside to see my full query pls!?

# I’m using laptop with 256 ddr2 ram and my installing drive[C drive] has 1.34GB blank space left.my OS is Windows XP Service pack3

based on your ram and your remaining space, installing a shell pack / transformation pack is quite testing your computer to the edge. see, transformation packs install a lot of programs and require them all to run at startup. having just 256 mb of ram, this may greatly slow your computer down. but if you still want to transform your desktop to look like vista, your best option is to do the transformation manually. this way, you will not be installing any additional software but you will still have the vista look that you want.

note that the patching of “uxtheme.dll” is compulsory even if you are installing shell / transformation packs. the shell packs just automatically does it for you, but as i have said, along with it are other programs that may slow your computer down. so just do it manually and get the patch here:

note though that the calendar, the weather and the docks are another installation that you may or may not do. they are programs objectdock and yahoo widgets
